Good luck with the exercise thing! I'll admit that I'm not too good about it myself, but I've been thinking of getting a bike or elliptical or something so I can do things at home; the main trouble though, like you said, is making it part of a routine.

Your manga to-read list sounds good :) I'll be interested to hear what you think of Ruroni Kenshin; there are a few things about it that piss me off, but IMHO it's still a great shounen manga.

Thanks! And yeah, I think that if my trick to fool myself into making it part of my routine doesn't work, then I'll never be one of those people who exercises regularly. :<

*mentally moves Rurouni Kenshin higher on to-read list* I will probably be posting about the things I end up reading eventually. :>

Thank you for the rec, but I don't really watch anime unless I've read the manga for it! (and even then, I usually don't watch the full series -- Bleach is the only exception). It takes ages to download/stream, and I can't just be switching between tabs while watching since I don't understand enough Japanese for that. :X

Good luck. I think you have a good idea, to start slow and thus avoid the aching "oh my god I am never doing that again" feeling.

Of course, me being the exer-pain glutton that I am, when you said that it's sprinting that's the problem and you have trouble making time, my first thought was INTERVAL TRAINING. Seriously, though, if you get to the point where you're not waking up in pain, I would highly recommend it.

Thanks! I am actually feeling motivated beyond the usual, since I did my 5 bike minutes today and know that I won't wake up feeling like a sack of shit tomorrow. *\o/*

It's weird, but there was a time I used to enjoy the pain acquired through exercise, but that was 10 years ago. >.> *is an old coat hanger now* I do not know what this interval training is, but it sounds intimidating. >.>

I think starting gradually will help. I cannot count the number of times my dad forced me to start running and I started too fast and quit. FINALLY I learned that lesson.

Interval training involves going really hard for a period of time, then going slow. You can do it on the bike as well, but I tend to do it on the treadmill. I'll run about as fast as I can go for a quarter mile, then slow to a walk/easy jog for a quarter mile. Much less boring than just going usual speed for forty minutes. Definitely can lead to soreness the next day. Though generally lower-level soreness which I don't mind at all.

I forget where I got Let Dai, but it was online and free! But you had to register to download the volumes. Um. That's not very helpful, sorry. It was a site with "manga" in the domain name, but not mangahelpers or mangashare. ._.

I find that really surprising, that the PoT manga characters lack personalities! I mean, if the anime is based on the manga, it's usually the other way around -- but I'm not invested enough in finishing PoT to go to the trouble of downloading the anime, so if the manga fails to engage, I'll just drop it like I did with Naruto and the others.

all the main characters have different hair colours and styles
>.> WHICH IS ABOUT THE ONLY THING DIFFERENT ABOUT THEM. ;_; Well, and the clothes. I hope I'll get used to them eventually -- I suspect this is where Japanese knowledge would come in very handy, because the characters probably have different ways of speaking, too. :X

Ehehehe. I think I actually managed to find it using Google, so it shouldn't be too hard.

...so the filler actually adds depth to PoT? LOL. :D

(Well. Yes. But at least some are white, and some are black!)
