Your exercise schedule makes sense. I used a similar schedule when increasing my time on the trampoline: added five minutes every week. But not all five minutes feel the same. I had a time when I found the 20th to 30th minute extremely hard to take, while the minutes after the 30th were fine again. Once I got over that, it was easy to go up to 45 minutes.

What I'm trying to say is that, in those hard weeks, it was better to stay for two weeks with the same amount of minutes instead of increasing the load. Try to stay comfortable - you will last longer and be happier about it as well.

Music, audiobooks and DVDs are wonderful stuff! I hate jogging, but jumping the trampoline is something I do, because it doesn't feel like such a waste of time. Lol. I can have fun and at the same time, increase my fitness.

Good luck and enjoy your exercises!

You know, that's really good advice. Maybe instead of jumping straight from 5 to 10 minutes, I will start the increase gradually and go 5, 5, 5, 6, 6, 6, and 7, then go 10, 10, 10, 11, 11, 11, 12, etc. I'm setting up playlists for my iPod with songs that last exactly as long as I plan to exercise, so this should be easy to do. And if I find it hard anyway, I'll stay a week without increasing -- either way, it'll mean I'll be in-shape enough to do outdoor-type stuff once the weather improves. :D

thank you so much. :x

*butts in* With running they say to increase the length of your runs by 10% a week (I think - it's a fixed proportion of the weekly total anyway). Supposedly that approach reduces the chances of injury & stuff, which might be true for other types of activity. Best of luck with the exercise anyway.

Thank you! I will consider this. though if I manage to injure myself while pedalling a stationary bike, maybe I am not at all cut out for exercise, ever. :(((

Your lolcat is like looking in a mirror, but with a higher percentage. :(

I need to exercise too. I've controlled my eating, but I have no endurance. Maybe I will jog once in a while.

:( even lolcat marriages fail, that's how dire the situation is!

I can't jog for the life of me. It's too cold outside for 6 months out of the year!

hahahahahaha. I TOLD you you'd hate Death Note. :) and I really dislike Naruto
Vampire Knight is a gorgeous story once you get into it. PoT is only worth it for the crack. The tennis wore me out and I stopped about 85% through and have yet to finish.

good luck on the exercise. I try to but never make time myself and then when I do I get the occasional flare which then ends it for a few days and I never seem to get back into it. let me know how it goes?

also Let Dai? beautiful. I love Korean manga art.

I even posted about how much I detested Death Note back when I first read it! I didn't get far enough into Naruto to actively dislike it, but I knew it wasn't for me: I didn't dig the art and found the main character irredeemably annoying.

Thanks! I'll probs post a progress update in a few weeks. That's if I manage to stick with this.

And YYY the art in Let Dai is just to die for. Um. No pun intended. D:

I'll be interested in seeing how you like HnG once you get round to it (or if you get round to it). I personally couldn't get past vol. 2 and found it very childish and boring.

I really didn't like Death Note either. I was so excited when my library purchased the set and then I couldn't be bothered to finish it.

I'm planning on reading KHR and FMA. Which do you think I should read first?

There is no amount of words that will ever suffice to express my hate-on for Death Note. D:

Hmm. I think you might find FMA more engaging. The fangirl in me wants to tell you to read KHR, but the first 61 chapters are pure unadulterated CRACK (that later turns out to have contained many important plot clues and character development, but still). It's definitely worth it, though, because once the crack bit is over, it's HOLYSHITTHISISAMAZINGANDINTENSE. these two make the crack bearable. (and on second re-read, I really enjoyed the crack because I could follow the character/story development!) But no, start with FMA. :D

LOL CAT killed me!

Also, your exercise regime sounds sweet!

I should try something like that for I, too, am failsauce at the excercising.

poor lolkittehs are not exempt from statistics :(

I hope the regimen works! Because if it doesn't, I will be very annoyed. :
