0001 - Wanted was awesome. There were times I could not suspend disbelief and rolled my eyes; the plot is a solid C-, but overall as a movie experience, I loved it. The EW article only takes into consideration the books written from 1984 to today, I think, so it excludes a number of the true 'classics'. In that sense, I think HP is a bit more fitting in that catagory simply because of its insane popularity.

Okay, fair point re: 1984 but there have been many books written since 1984 that are far more deserving of "classic" status than GoF can ever hope for... Margaret Atwood comes to mind. I mean. The Handmaid's Tale > Harry Potter, as far as literary merit goes.

...But them again, like you said, it's Entertainment Weekly, and the keyword is entertainment. More people have been entertained by HP than any book I can think of. It's purely entertainment, not literary merit.

Why are hybrid cars so damn ugly? I'd love one when Bella outlives her warranty, but jeez. Saw a Prius in traffic today; the damn thing looks like the Chevy Aztec had an abortion.

I am a little scared of the hybrids now, after reading stuff about how they cause cancer, just like if one was living near a power station. Sigh.

Civics are not so bad-looking, though I has an irrational dislike of Hondas (no idea why).

HYBRIDS CAUSE CANCER? WHAT. :| :| Might be just more propaganda from traditional auto-makers.

They're coming out with new ones soon. I actually think Priuses are kinda cute, but I know I'm weird. I own a PT Cruiser.

My mom has a Hybrid Ford Escape and I love it. It gets 35 est. mpg. That's better than my car. XD It's like driving a boat though. A boat named 'The Severus Escape'. Yeah, I came up with it. I'm talented. >_>
