I think I prefer regular coffee though, in the end. Much like how I prefer real fruit juice instead of concentrate.

Seriously, I want a separatory funnel for my kitchen. All I've got for labware at home is a hot plate/stirrer, a graduated cylinder, and a bunch of nitrile gloves. Hm. I think I need Invitrogen certificates or something for Christmas.

My glassware collection has grown monumental as I save virgin equipment from the dumpster. It frightens my beloved chemist who does not like her food and drink to come from places that look like wet chemistry labs.

Today, as I was preparing to use the autoclave here, I looked high and low for the rack to slide in it. I finally found it, covered in bottles and cylinders and all sorts of things with a sign that said "Free Chemicals." I just about had a science orgasm and started plotting how I was going to smuggle these things home...

Do not dilute your toddy coffee - those who advocate doing so are heretics who shall be struck down by the caffeine gods!
(Using a very very dark roast is advocated, as cold extraction leaves most of the "coffee" flavor in the grounds.)
