Hands

My left hand is shot. I need to not use it for a couple of weeks for it to recover. This is, of course, impossible, because my right hand's been hurting more recently as I've been trying to use it more to give my left hand a break and my right hand is still obviously recovering from the surgery ( Read more... )

I tried one of those at CVS when my wrist was bothering me and it was comfy. If you need it and it is not in the budget at the moment I have the rest of an amazon gift certificate that I haven't used...we could send it to you.

Thanks, but it's fine. Rob wasn't mad or anything. :) I'm glad to hear you found it comfy; I hope I will too.

It sounds comfortable but I wonder as a fellow JRA person about the part I always have issues with these kind of braces is where they cross at along the hand... I have some.. i believe it's called subluxion there.... and it interferes with the comfort of these type braces from what I have found.

The amazon.com reviewers compared this one to the tan ones.. have you used those? were they useable for you?? If so..than this one should be fine I think since it's basicaly the same but more comfy inside and better design in terms of looks.

Can you see an OT and have them custom make splints? Or see what they can do to help improve your ability to write, etc with the wrist limitations?

I used to have resting splitns long ago and I feel I need them again due to wrist pain and my problem with clinching my fingers and causing more hand pain so i dont know if you have these issues but just some more food for thought.... that im sure you have thought about..

anyways.. good fortune

I have that exact same brace for my wrist. I have tendonitis, and it helps when it flares...the brace is super comfortable.
