Good news, bad news

May baking. I am still on a biscuit kick so I made some orange crisps, which are sugary orange-flavoured biscuits and they taste lovely. Even though they’re sugary, they’re not overwhelmingly sweet and they’re really light so they’re good for people who don’t like desserts much or don’t like anything heavy. They’re pretty similar to the lemon

I'm glad your Stepdad-in-Law is doing much better now and seems to have stabilized. Here's hoping he doesn't take that nosedive or prove too much for your mother-in-law. Her current lifestyle does sound suffocating.

I'm sorry about that company closing, especially as it's had so much meaning in your life. It would be great if they could rebuild and not suffer any more knocks.

Yes, Stepdad-in-Law is doing better I think. Anthony had a long phonecall with his Mum tonight, trying to help calm her worries. It's a long road for both of them of course.

And yes, it's a real shame about that company. They were the start of so many things for me. I can only hope the former owners and creators of it find a way to create something new out of the ashes.
