I also do not care for coffee but enjoy coffee shops. They normally offer good drinks besides coffee, however. Secretly order a hot chocolate and no one will be the wiser!
My favorite secret un-coffee-coffee drink is Dutch Coffee.
1 cup of milk 1 pat of butter 1 shot of espresso 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup 1/8 teaspoon of vanilla extract 1 cinnamon stick Lots of whipped cream
It honestly does not taste like coffee at all and more like a buttery treat in drink form!
Oddly enough, that makes me miss my favorite bar from back at home. It was a quiet little lounge owned by the same people that owned our favorite local coffee shop (that got overrun by those who were underage and just became generally unappealing, unfortunately.)
The Mud Lounge was a quiet lounge with awesome drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic; they specialized in martinis, as well as coffee) and it just seemed like I'd always run into someone cool to catch up with.
Man, I can't wait to visit home. That place has some rockin' crab dip.
It is a tiny little coffee cafe by the ocean where you can order some delicious desserts, coffee, munchies, and play a huge selection of board games while you sat, talked, and didn't care about the night going by.
It makes me glad I am not the only one who does not enjoy coffee...thank goodness for hot chocolate!
We have a cheesy little coffee house called Witches Brew nearby I enjoy - rarely go since usually crowded but it's great for the reasons you state above - just always good company with friends.
It makes me feel good about what I am writing to know that people are really digging it! Hopefully I can keep updating with interesting little things that will keep people reading! (I am so bad at that, I think)

When I visit (not when a whole mass of us are there) we will have to join up and go for a nice cup of... well something there!
