I'm not that familiar with Saiyuki, but I think (drawing from my Journey to the West knowledge) you did a good job writing it so even I could know what was going on. :) The dialogue flows really naturally, imho, and I especially liked your ending sentence--it's really cool how you use aspects of the coffee to illustrate the characters' personalities. :D

I don't know, but wouldn't it be OOC for Journey to the West Sanzo to start shooting at the others? I've heard the differences are quite big.

The ending sentence was the first I came up with. And then it wouldn't leave me alone.

XD Oh, it would definitely be OOC for Sanzo's Journey to the West counterpart to start shooting at anyone. XDDD But I've heard about how they changed the portrayal of the characters, and from what I know of Saiyuki your depiction seems pretty good to me. :)

I once got my hands on Japanese TV series based on the original, but it was a bit too corny for my tastes. Sanzo was a bald woman and acted sooo preachy. There was also a ridiculous villain. I didn't last a whole episode. The original has to be better than that.

I just love it, it describes so much Sanzo. Unfortunatelly, coffe is still forbidden. The only thing I have is how I´ll do it in class time. I´ll fall sleep in my notebooks XD XD XD

Aw, this is so cute! I love your comparison of Sanzo to the coffee. And the dialogue was fittingly chaotic, as only these four boys can manage it. ;)

Yeah, somehow I can't really picture Goku enjoying coffee, and it's not as if he needs as boost of caffeine energy!

Thank you for your comments! Yeah it got chaotic, the boys kept trying to say unnecessary things and didn't want to listen to me at all. :)

Goku doesn't seem to drink at all! o_O There's often a lot of food and up to three coffee or tea cups on the table. The only time I saw Goku with a cup was in Reload vol 6 where your Sanzo with a coffee cup icon comes from. He has some kind of pun and a coffee cup and doesn't pay attention to anything else. I wasn't sure if that ruins my idea or not.

His always too busy eating to think about drinking. But surely he has to drink something. I looked through Saiyuki vol 1 - Reload vol 6 and kept my eyes open for pots and cups. Not even an empty cup or glass near Goku. It's all food, food, food... When the others are drinking something, he is occupied with biscuits or puns or whatever. It's just weird.

Sure, he had drunk coffee before. It was sweet and nice with lots of cream and sugar.
