I have those creepy moths all over in my cereals and grains.I close all the cereal boxes tight,,,and in fact have even found the larvae and or moths in brand new boxes.Any suggestions out there? Should I bag up the cereal boxes in zip lock bags will that help? I am totally grossed out.They seem to especially like my 'KASHI'cereal. I just bought

Oh dear, those moths can be tenacious! You need to clean out and vaccuum the cupboard, and then keep everything in airtight packaging for a month or more-- I'd actually recommend plastic cannisters rather than ziplocks. Good luck!

bleechhh i'm eating kashi right now.

sometimes they can come in the box from the store, so make sure your packaging is intact. Then I agree with the person above - vacuum and scrub yo cupboards, and buy some airtight containers.

One web sight said that when you purchse new "GRAIN PRODUCTS"from the store,always place them in the freezer for 4-5 hours to kill any moths or larve,that resides inside from the packing plant, Isnt that gross..I am not eating ceraeal for awhile....but Im sure this too will pass.like bad tomatoes,hamburger,jalepeno peppers etc etc..I am just completely grossed out right now.

I had them once, so I totally feel your pain. BLEGH. Luckily I haven't had them since, it was many moons ago at my first apartment. I do not want to freeze my grains. GROSS

OMG GROSS! my house was infested with silverfish for awhile! :::shudder:::

toss all the cereal/rice/bread/pasta/any other grains in your house and wait a week. they'll eventually run out of things to eat and leave! if worse comes to worse, spray some raid in the area those things are kept and make sure to wash it out after a day. that'll definitely get rid of the remaining ones.

i hate bugs that infest things. like eff-off man!
