Twinkle toes (and seedlings)

Toddled (exactly the right word) up the road to the health centre to get my feet seen to, since I can no longer reach my left foot unaided. Still no word from the

the?????? NHS, maybe?

Oooohhhh...your health center gives pedicures?
How lovely!
My feet are also very short, fat and square. What size shoe do you wear? I'm a 3.5 (UK size) I find that Clarks often has shoes I can wear but lately their styles aren't my style.

I'm getting a bit fed up waiting to hear from the hospital - missing the original date was just bad luck, really, but I'm beginning to suspect that I'll have to wait another five months. I've made an appointment with my GP for next week, so I'll ask him about it then.

It wasn't exactly a pedicure, since I believe pedicures involve creams and nail varnish - this was just a cut and trim of the nails, but very pleasant, none the less, and I was able to do the cream application at home. My feet are 4.5 or 5, depending on the sort of shoe I'm trying to fit. I like Clark's shoes - they aren't exactly fashionable, but they are very well made, and they also have a factory shop near me, so I have several pairs of their ballerinas in different colours.
