Agree. Family is just an excuse to get away with hurting whoever the fuck you want, knowing you'll be forgiven.

I never really understood how blood made everything so much better, anyway.

Could not agree more with that sentiment, to be honest. And I don't think blood makes family, either. Do you consider a cousin who you've never met or see once a year at Christmas to be family? Or do you consider your best friend of ten years who's always been there for you to be family?
