In light of bly_me's comments to the previous post, I've been trying to think of something that might stimulate some discussion. Interestingly enough something occurred to me to ask. The story is that I was driving down Broad St., and while stopped at a light I looked over and there was a black man in his car, who might have already been smiling

Down low, men who sleep with other men, but mate with females and do not id as bi, or are not open about it. Thats the general idea, but I am sure others can add or subtract to that.

i've definately noticed seemingly 'straight' men eyeing me more. but i don't know if they're on the DL or if they are just seemingly straight guys. it really messed with my mind at first because i thought they were perceiving me as a woman and hitting on me. but, now that i'm never seen that way (as a woman) and it still happens, i still find myself reacting in the same ways. there's obviously a different power dynamic now, but i'm still feeling like i have to be polite, smile back, blah blah blah...(all that other shit women are taught that it not only sexist but sometimes a survival technique). in other words i'm still reacting to unwanted attention in the same ways i was conditioned to react as a woman
