First Binder

I received my first ever compression shirt (maybe I should've gotten a vest) form Underworks. I read about some one else that was very pleased with theirs so I thought I would get the same. I got XS because I'm pretty tiny. I was just wondering if it was supposed to constrict you into a slow death? If I can't really get it on, what the hell do I do

I thought I would go ahead and say I was able to finally get it on after going up, rather than over my head. Am I doing this right? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I put mine on like a skirt. Hardly anyone can get them on over their heads I don't think. The shoulders are usually wider than the hips.

No way could I ever get my binder over my hips. When I tried, it felt like it was going to split at the seams. After the first few trials, I was able to pull it over my head without any problems. In fact, all the people I know who wear/have worn binders have pulled them over their heads. Weird.

Actually, I called underworks today and talked to the guy there for a while because I ordered the shorter crop shirt style and I meant to get the long length. He made sure to tell me more than once to pull it on from my legs on up instead of over my head. Plus, he also told me that they run pretty big. I'm usually a 38D (so obviously larger at the largest point of my chest) and he said I'd be a medium.

There's instructions for how to measure yourself to make sure you have the right size at http://ftm.underworks.com.

I will offer that I also step into my binder and pull it up. After a few months and losing a little bit of weight I am able to pull it down over my head, but there's still the risk of getting stuck halfway, so I always step into it. Though I do take it off over my head.

This might sound a little odd, but using lotion seems to help for some people. A good friend of mine puts a scentless lotion on first before the binder and it helps him a great deal, so he says.
