you also may want to check what happens when you change your birth certificate in your state. for example, here in Mass. if you change your gender on your birth cert., they just put an addendum saying something like oh by the way so and so was born female/male and is now male/female. In Maine, when you legally change your gender a whole new birth cert is made and your actual birth gender is removed. Somewhere there is a website with a listing by state that shows what the laws are but I don't know the URL, sorry.

keep in mind that you can undergo T and surgery and not get your birth cert changed until you want too. Meaning, you can still get married as M/F couple even after your transistion, as long as your birthcert says F. I am only saying this because i have heard stories where it was a similar situation, one partner is straight and as much as they are in love, sometimes when the straight partner starts seeing the changes, its too much for them.

I'm not saying this is something that will happen, jsut i have read about it a few times before. good luck, and as appealing as it is to get married before, weather you do or not, remember to stay true to yourselves.

Vif, so it works the same way in France, just based on your birth certificate? It doesn't matter if I've been on T and had surgeries and whatnot, as long as my birth certificate still has that F on it?
