I've stumbled over this artist by accident and find his paintings awesome. I'm usually not a fan of extremely realistic paintings because many of them look really lifeless, but the light in his paintings is so great and he seems to know exactly what to leave out and what to paint realistically, and the atmosphere is simply perfect

While I'm looking forward to the colored version too, I have to say, there's something slightly off about Ai's head relative to the rest of her body...?

They do! He is so great at leaving out unnecessary details and highlighting the beautiful things. The scenes are so dreamy without being stylized too much.

Oh the perspective thingy. I thought so, too. It happens when you look down from above. The head looks too large. Ai's fluffy hairstyle even emphasizes it while Yuuki's hairstyle doesn't. Maybe I should tone it down in the next picture and give Ai less fluffy hair. Thanks for pointing it out.
