Abe Toshiyuki; Shinichi-Shiho as Zero-Yuuki
I've stumbled over this artist by accident and find his paintings awesome. I'm usually not a fan of extremely realistic paintings because many of them look really lifeless, but the light in his paintings is so great and he seems to know exactly what to leave out and what to paint realistically, and the atmosphere is simply perfect.
In other news, I'm almost done with inking the Shinichi-Ai pic and am probably going to use it to test different mediums (digital, Copics, inks, watercolour). Here is the sketch, which I'm going to copy to manga paper, watercolour paper, and illustration paper. (I'll have to ink everything again afterwards but it's a nice way to practice using the dip pen). I've changed their looks a bit and think that they look both less pretty but more authentic now.
