A bit late
I am a bit late, and there are several reasons for this. But finally I am going to do what everyone else does and quit my livejournal account. You find me on dreamwidth, same username. I will remain up here for a month or se, but not post. -
Not thinking is a bad idea when sewing
I started working on taking in two of my many too large skirts on Saturday night. Unfortunately I was rather tired and stupid, so while I removed the right amount in the side of one skirt, I removed the same amount on both sides of the other one!

Photos of the teal Regency gown
Today, instead of working I got dressed and took Rickard with me out on the lawn outside our house to takesome photos of my new regency outfit. This is my first attempt at rag curls, and except for curling too much hair I am reasonably satisfied. The lace cap was finished at breakfast this morning.

Heartbreak and sewing
So today started with a long walk to a manifestation for afghan refugee kids who will in all likelihood be deported back to Afghanistan by Sweden. It is absolutely horrible and a disgrace for my country, but I won't dwell on that here, because this blog is supposed to be about historical clothes and sewing. Of course
Of course, being me, I will now remove the bust gussets on the regency stays and shorten them. They work as they are, but they will (probably, I will of course try it before cutting) will look better with shorter gussets so that the boobs end up higher.

Visit to the dietitian
I've been to the dietitian to check my progress and I now weigh exactly 60 kilos. I am not trying to lose more weight, just to keep it, but all the walkign I've done lately apparently ahs taken a way a few more kilos ( Read more... ) -

Holiday!
Today I'm off for six days in the countryside, staying with my stepdad at the house where I lived from 11 to 19. it's me, Rickard, Maja and a friend of Maja's and I think we'll have a good time, despite the weather forecast predicting some rain and less sun than the last weeks.
