Okay, not exactly. But he went to feed it today, and...there was no fish in the tank. 0_o Not even a dead fish floating at the top, it was just empty. Dunno if the cat fished it out and ate it or what...it's just baffling. XD The poor kid's all upset though, guess we have to get him another

THE FISH THING HAS TOTALLY HAPPENED TO ME. One day in maybe the 6th grade, I came home and my fish was just mysteriously gone. We never found out exactly what happened to it, but we suspect that it jumped into the sink and down the drain, since we kept it in the kitchen. Was it an...athletic kind of fish?

Haha wow, that's crazy. XD Glad it's not just us.
It was a beta fish...dunno if they're athletic or not. The thing is, the tank had a lid on it! There was a small hole to put food in, but I don't think it was big enough for the fish to fit through. But we think the cat might have used it to lift the lid up...? If so, I'm surprised he didn't make a mess.

You know, I understand dogs and cats who try to get past fences or whatever...but why a fish would want to jump out of its tank is beyond me.

I had a fighting fish (I actually used to have two, and they would swim in separate bowls and glare at each other xD), so it was sort of understandable how it could have escaped, I guess. But a beta fish in a tank with a lid...that's weird. Makes for a fun story, though.

Who knows what goes through the minds of fish. All I can think about is Finding Nemo.
