I did it...

I've been wanting to learn to surf since the early 90's... I even booked a 4 hour session with a surf coach last month and didn't do very well. I got up on my feet a couple of times for a few seconds. Ohh, the dilemma!! Dammit...*sigh*

I say, get some more fun in and (as crazy as it sounds) try to not think about it. I'm sure the answer will come to you. Either way it sounds like neither option is completely ideal. Maybe something better will arrive for you, hon.

It looks like I may be offered the job in NY... Pros: I have family and friends there, I know the area, the job in theory pays at least 19K more than my current one, and I won't be alone...

Cons: it's very expensive to live in NY, I can't go outside all year round like I can here, surfing is hard to do as it involves a 2 hour or more drive to long island, and I'd end up living with my parents for a while... I also will probably never be able to afford a home of my own since it's almost impossible to find a nice house a single female can afford on one salary...

Here in GA I have many nice, new houses that don't need tons of work that I can buy if I want but the people here are annoying.

I also just started finding things to enjoy here so if I move I lose access to those things... like Tybee and Jacksonville. The south is wasted on southerners...
