I realize after viewing this list that I am horribly under-read. Its almost embarrassing to realize how few books I have read in comparison to other people I consider intellectual equals. Almost makes me wonder if I deserve to consider myself their equal.

It may just mean you don't like "classical" literature as much. :) Or...you could look at it from the perspective that you are much more *productive* than some of the people who perhaps have read more of the books.

Plus, and I can guarantee you this, you read more news type things than I do, at least. I may sit in my house reading Foucault and Marx all day long (I so love my job), but you always know more about what's going on in the world (and in many different areas--politics, economics, technology, etc.) than I do.
