Today's bookkeeper forgot to bring me my till, so I went and got it after someone handed me cash (by far most transactions are with a card: credit, debit, or gift). I found this a bit confusing, using plurals for individuals can get that way. I had to reread certain parts to figure out who was being talked about. I'm not sure if it can be helped.

for some reason, I thought it was Salathiel that was they, not both them and Conubelius. But, if it's Sal's thoughts, it makes sense that they'd think in plural terms.

Both Cunobelinus and Salathiel use they. Salathiel because they were raised that way (it's in the next part), but Cunobelinus used to switch back and forth between he and she until they were wooing Salathiel.
