In Trouble: Mother's Day

The store is attempting to hire more people. Hopefully soon we'll have enough help that I can work less than 40 hour weeks.

Well that all depends on if people keep reading it.

I am reading. See me reading.
Storms. I'm not sure why I've got internet now really. Stupid squirrel or internet provider or both. Why do I lose internet when it's not even raining in my area but is 10 miles away? I'm not switching to Uverse if it's like this. My cable is fine with its present company. It's my phone and internet that is having problems.
Thursday and Friday were awful at work so I couldn't hardly get to DW let alone read and comment.

Excuses. I'm using excuses. Believe me I saw the post and hissed that I couldn't read it. Stupid work wanting me to actually work. *wails* Friday was supposed to be a slow day with field trips in the morning. My librarian was out all day for something stupid like major dental and then child's graduation. *sighs*

You do realize that naked male babies can do tricks, involving coverage of area and splashing sounds of falling liquid on the other side of the room.
Jade entering the room with guess what VJ learned to do made me grin but so did lizard baby.

I've seen this stage of baby non-locomotion VJ is doing. It's the lizard stage as the legs aren't under the body but splayed to the sides even if the body is slightly elevated.
My grandson is said to be at the bunny stage now (haven't seen it yet :( *sniffle*) Up on all fours and rocking back and forth. Sometimes his legs move forward at the same time so he's in the form of a hunched bunny. That and he lunges.

Yes, you left yourself open for the pleas for more with VJ pulling the warmed toy into him for sleeping. Poor Jay. His degree of parenting is increasing. It's good that Jay's parents are involved with the small family's assistance too. Maman taking Jade shopping in the car to better his skill. Yes, a very nice set of in-laws.
We need more Vido.

But naked male babies all preform the same tricks. Not the kind of thing someone praises them for. (Always stand to the side when diapering a wee boy.)

How old is your grandson? I wondered how familiars, so mobile in their animal forms, put up with learning to walk on two feet. It's a lot of work and they can already get where they want to be by changing form. But then familiars tend to stay in animal form until they're old enough to walk. *sigh* the downside of being a Persian Wizards's kitten.

That's based off the videos I've seen of sleeping kittens doing the same thing. We do need more Vido, but I want more of Jay's parents too. Not sure how to do both. But as Jay's parents are pretty much Vido's parents too...

Now you just need to convince my boss I need one more day off a week. Or maybe a weekend day (I work all weekend again. That makes 10 weekend days worked since the beginning of April. In the same six weeks my boss has worked two weekend days. I find this annoying. I wouldn't even ask for a whole weekend, just...one...

Grandson is 7 months old. He's just getting his legs under him for precrawling. Can do lunging and bunny position with his legs under him but he much prefers rolling to get where he wants. Crawling is frustrating as VJ is finding. Standing and jumping he's already got. They've this contraption that is a circle with interesting things on it to play with but the seat in the center allows the child to bounce inside this ring. He is very experienced in bouncing and standing with support, since his balance isn't there yet, isn't difficult though his knees sometimes give out and you have to catch him ( ... )

I wonder about those kids that suck down their food from little packets. And they are so much more expensive than a jar. Juice comes in these bags too. What about learning hand eye coordination?

My older son used to have monologues. He was very talkative. People would ask what he said, but I couldn't understand it either.

(From a book of Persian Wisdom at work - I saw this and thought of J Daynal)

It was a night

Like no other . . .

You came, oh my beloved!

You made the night

Into blessed day,

You sang music and

Graciously

Poured wine,

And you said the words,

Primeval and holy,

That I have never forgotten,

And the evil night

Disappeared like smoke.

That's a nice poem. Thanks for sharing. (this reminds me that I need to get more personality into Vido's section. He's a super new parent - the kittens eyes haven't opened - and he's trying to have an adult conversation with the in-laws, but the kittens are really all he can think of)

The first time I read it, I read the last lines as "And into the evil night disappeared like smoke" and I thought, JD did that the first time J Danyal met him except he disappeared into the evil morning.
