Instead of an SMD and quotes today I decided I was just going to post several quotes!

First, another by Franz Kafka... I know I just had one by him the other day but I just re-read Metamorphesis the other day so what can I say? I'm on a kick!

I really like that last quote about books. :) It's true. In the Jewish texts, they scribe the name of god in a series of letters or misplace one letter so that no one may say the name aloud. It is considered unholy to say such a holy name... hah. Kinda funny, innit?

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with your SMD posts! D: Been so busy with this move. But hopefully I will get caught back up soon. :)

I can pretend to be a bumblebee and I won't ever become a bumblebee. ;P
But I think it's a good quote. There is something to be said about aspiring to be something and knowing that, by trying hard enough, you will eventually reach that very goal. The question then is, what do you do after you've become that person? And, more importantly, are you sure you will like it when you become that person?

It's ok! I haven't been keeping up with my SMD posts either! I got so busy I managed to completely skip all of Jan. and just reacently started up again... I don't know I guess I am iffy about the Cary Grant quote 'cuz to me I just keep thinking why be somebody else why don't you try just being you... being yourself? But then I guess it could be about just being the best you that you can be but i don't take it that way so that's why I was wondering how others would take it without me pitching in my two cents first... Although, since he was an actor he could be refering to some really deep/intense method acting... IDK *shrug*... see why I'm torn?

Haha, yea I can see what you mean. I agree that it's important to be yourself (trust me, I am ALL for that) but sometimes it's hard to find out who that person is, so it might be best to strive for something greater... and like he said "or he became me", you might just end up becoming you and not the other person. :)
