Driving around town in my car tonight listening to Dolly's new album, Backwoods Barbie, made me feel like I was riding around with a best friend that I haven't seen in years! Dolly and I had so much to catch up on...its been so long now, and it was fabulous to see her again!

Everyday at school, the daily lunch menu is read during the morning announcements for the students to hear. Today, we were having fish sticks or a chicken sandwhich. Every year, I have to do a portfolio assessment on all of my students that are old enough to take the TCAP (Tennessee's standardized test). My students are not academically able to take a grade level test, or any test at all really, so the portfolio is a sampling of their progress throughout the year that I put together and send to the state ( Read more... )
