I'd like to hear what you guys have to say on the Keira Knightley version of Pride and Prejudice, because the costume designer took a departure from what had been done so many times. I'm not a fan of that particular version, and I'm definitely not a fan of Knightley's hair in the film, but I'm curious what your ladies' take on it is.

We've talked about taking on Jane Austen films, perhaps in a bunch to compare. I haven't seen the Keira Knightley P&P, but demode_kvc has & pretty well ripped into it, iirc. Yep, the hair was one of the many problems ;-) Would be great fun to podcast about that one.
Of course, the holy grail of all Austen filmed adaptions is the BBC/A&E Pride & Prejudice with Colin Firth & Jennifer Ehle. Brilliant acting & excellent costumes. Hard to top that!

I think they did use a cone to shield Kirsten's face, at least part of the time. There's video of her with one at the Vogue shoot. I would assume they used the person who did the movie hair for it..
You can see her being sprayed with hair powder with about 2:21 left in the video. (The counter counts down and not up!)

There's a smaller clearer one here:

I never noticed the powder line on her forehead - I thought that was a neat observation! :-)

Any suggestions as to what is going wrong?
BTW - when I click on this link I simply get a page of html code.

That url is an RSS feed & the latest versions of Firefox & IE can read it directly, but earlier versions can't. That might be part of the problem.
Please let me now if you need more help!
