Gah!  Fanfiction dot net is nothing but a haven for Mary Sue's!  You have to sift through so much drek to find those rare gems of well written, character centered stories in any fandom.  ARG!  I rarely go there any more cuz I just don't have time to pan for gold.

OK, must go rack of the pumpkin wine now.  And then bottle the raspberry wine.

Yes, I am guilty of using these, too.  But not for awhile now.  I have a long way to go before I consider myself to be a an A+ writer, but I do consider myself to be an adequate writer.  I'm trying to learn more, anyway.  Along the way and, amongst LOTS of fan fic reading, I've found a few pet peeves.  I'm sure there are more, but I can't remember ( Read more... )
