Oh, Chris.... Poor dear needs to get his own thoughts and feelings clear before he even tried to talk to Vin again. I just hope that he's not going to now go to great lengths to avoid being around Vin, because now is when Vin really needs him there the most.

Once again, you've captured a lot in a few words. It was easy to feel the despair as Vin seemed to get worse, especially with the seizure. And I think that Josiah's feeling of helplessness hit me harder than what Chris was feeling at that point.

My stomach is entirely in knots over Vin's condition and the realisation that has finally struck Chris. The intensity of your writing is amazing. I wish I could leave a more detailed review, but mostly I'm left thinking that I need the rest of this story desperately. I was waiting on this part all day and it surely didn't disappoint. It's wonderfully written and captures the era so well.

I can't wait to see how Chris reacts next and in the meantime I'll just have to read this chapter again.
