Interesting day

When I arrived at work at 6:15 this morning, I was greeted by the supervisor, the few other staff who start that early, and a very friendly security guard - outside the work area.  We were not allowed inside on account of the flooding.

Apparently, one of the construction workers involved in the renovations had left an exterior fire door open.  Did

Oh what fun. We lost power for a full day once when I was working in the kitchen at a nursing home years ago. That was pretty interesting. I can't imagine functioning after throwing tons of water on top of that.

The water caused our electrical problems. They were still trying to assess the damage to the breaker panel, etc. and determine if it was safe to operate electrical items.

Luckily the fridges & freezers didn't stay shut off for very long.

I have to check in later today to find out what the heck is going on tommorow.
