2nd Spell: [Video/Action]

I'll admit I don't know all that much about this Christmas celebration that just passed us by, but it seems to be a lot like Hearth's Warming Eve, so I hope everyone enjoyed it.

And thank you for the gifts, everypony. I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to return the favor yet, but I promise I'll find you all something.

Tag battles seemed t'do the trick for me. Though it might be hard convincin' some trainers to agree t'them.

That's a great idea! There ought to be at least a few trainers around I can partner with.

I'd be happy t'lend a hoof, if you need me. I know Jessie loves gettin' exercise.

I think I might take you up on that, AJ. I think you and her would be just the pair I need.

Don't worry about returning favors, Twilight... Having you here is the greatest gift of all.

Fluttershy... thank you. But I do promise, I'll get you something as thoughtful as you all got for me. It's the spirit of the season, after all.

[Says the pony that causes diabetes by her presence alone.]

It just might take me a little time to find something.

Indeed, Hearth's Warming Even and Christmas seemed to be very similar, even if the basis for such holidays are radically different.

Thou needn't worry about returning the gifts in any haste. Tis not the day that is important, but the friends and family that surrounds thou.

Do you happen to know much about the origins of Christmas, Princess? I've checked on how it's celebrated but I haven't found much of the history.

I'll keep that in mind, thank you. I know I wouldn't want to give you anything less than a gift as thoughtful as the one you got for me.

From what we understand, tis a holiday stemmed from religious reasons. It t'was originally celebrating the birth of the son of their God. It has evolved over time, but tis the original purpose behind it.

[She waves a hand.]

Tis of no matter. We are only glad thou enjoys our gift!

Wow. That's... certainly an important event. I wasn't aware deities could have children.

[Now imagining what would happen if Luna or Celestia decided they wanted a foal, and just kind of feeling awkward about that.]

Oh, yes, it was very wonderful of you to get that for me! I really appreciate it.

Have you spoken to a Move Tutor? Your Abra might be able to learn a direct attack, and it'd be less expensive than TMs.

Now that's an interesting idea. Is there a Tutor near Goldenrod?

There might be. They usually travel between cities, though the one that teaches only Headbutt seems to favor Ilex Forest.

Headbutt isn't the best move for an Abra, but it's better than nothing by a long shot. Thank you for the advice, sir.

[Here comes Riku, the self-proclaimed expert! There's an Alakazam chilling close behind. Behold his amazing mustache... or something.]

Just have another Pokémon do all the fighting without actually switching. You don't have to play by the rules to train.

[With that evolved version of her Pokemon standing in front of her, she's inclined to listen to his advice.]

That's... an idea. You mean in a double battle? Is that how you trained yours?

[He nods.]

I'd say it's more of a tag team against the wild Pokémon. When they train, my team tends to take on as many wild Pokémon as they can handle.
