World Braille Day

A blogger on WordPress tells us that today is World Braille Day. I've never learned to read Braille and I don't recall having seen anybody reading or writing it, but from that blog post I've learned that Braille is useful to many people. the same for me. i spent two days in december having my eyeballs lasered for abnormal blood vessels/bleeding in the eyes. not to mention the glaucoma and dryness...this sucks!! *eyeroll*

and diabetic neuropathy means the feets and fingertips are suffering numbness, so braille wouldnt work for me...however, i'd definitely looking forward to my Nook getting here so i can READ again!

It sounds as though laser eye surgery was nasty for you. Somebody else mentioned that to me recently. I hope you got a good outcome.

Oh yes, diabetics get neuropathy too. I'd forgotten that. It sounds quite similar to MS neuropathy.

I hope you'll tell us about the Nook when you have it.

the day i had the laser surgery (it was the second treatment) was just not good all over. we had stopped to get something to drink, and my gut feeling is that someone with latex gloves on handled SOMETHING that went in my drink. (diet cherry coke with cherries in it ( ... )
