Good to hear you're okay and in Auckland, pity we missed you at the picnic thing.

With luck, we'll see you over the whole holiday thing.

Did you get the CoC catchup email?

All those months away from home have led to a double-barrelled frenzy of catching up:

1: All the stuff that built up while I was away.
2: All the stuff I've been planning while I was away.

But friends are part of both 1: and 2:, and I hope to assail you soon :o)

You have my sympathies: I had barbecued cicada in China. If the symptoms persist, there is a handy drug called metronidazole which is very effective against giardia. As usual, however, it can have side-effects.

Cicaida? Sounds delicious. Alright, at least, full of lovely chitin...
But Barbequeued? What, they didn't have any Jelly handy?

Now I think of it, I'm forever getting 'You're not adventurous with food' from people when they find I won't eat mystery-muck disguised with chilli & spices.

It doesn't matter that I'm having the baby octupii with a side-order of honey-filled-flies, because true adventure needs chilli! :oP
