Running on empty

Food poisoning.

Prolly picked it up from Hell in Wellington, though it may have been a relapse from Fiji.

Told my astonishing friend Craig, and he said "Great that's awesome for cleaning out your system".

The weird thing is, I was already thinking the exact same thing.
OK, so my body feels like a civil-war.
OK, so breakfast was a strawberry.
OK, so I flirted with my rowing machine yesterday and it shot me down in flames.

It's all happened before and didn't kill me, so, who cares?

I've shed 3.6kg in 5 days (1.2kg in water admittedly).
That would usually take three weeks of intense cardio workouts.
It's a strong incentive to eat smarter, and when the bugs are defeated the strength will come back and I'll jump higher and crash softer.

Near my flop-room in Wellington is Katherine Mansfield's Birthplace:
"Could we change our attitude, we should not only see life differently, but life itself would come to be different. Life would undergo a change of appearance because we ourselves had undergone a change in attitude."

Clever lass, Katherine.
