Jesus. This is just magnificent. I'm in love with your dialogue and your insight. You manage to make them emotional and raw without making them clingy girls, which is no mean feat. They're both perfectly in character and just...ohh. I'd almost forgotten what a really good angst!fic does to me. *is undone*

And the fact that you told it from Remus' POV and yet painted such complete sympathy for Sirius, was brilliant. Remus with his fears and his silence and his need to prove to himself that he can make it alone - not to mention his need to have a role: caretaker and Sirius and his wild, vibrant intensity and need to be loved, made a fantastic couple. (And, apparently, a very long sentence in review.) It was sad how badly they needed one another and yet still failed to communicate.
Gorgeous.
This is one of the many reasons that we missed you!
