Somehow, I ended up with a paid account on DW. Like, NO IDEA where it came from. Which, awesome, 100 icons! But I'm still not ready to leave my LJ, and not just due to the fact that I've still got another six months' paid time. I'm honestly just not as bothered by LJ's most recent fail as everyone else seems to be. Or maybe I'm just more ( Read more... )

Re: Hunith: Well, surely sending him into Uther's house without knowing about his dad made it safer than sending him to Uther's house knowing about his dad? Right? RIGHT?? Also, she probably expected that Merlin would keep himself low-profile. You know. Merlin. Low profile. THERE'S LOGIC HERE, YES??

Still not getting over the prettiness of your header. Katie Katie Katie... *g*

See, really, there was this mix up in the marching orders. Hunith meant to send her other magical son Merlin to Camelot. You know, the super sneaky ninja one. Either that, or Merlin is so low profile and sneaky that acting the exact opposite is all part of his Master Plan To Infiltrate Camelot And Molest The Prince. It's like reverse-psychology. Or something.

KATIE IS FREAKING GORGEOUS. I'm kind of a little in love with her hair.

does anyone else find it ironic that Hunith never spoke of Merlin's father because she feared it was too dangerous for him, but she sent him right into Uther's freaking house?

...umm, I suppose it's one of those "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" things. Besides, the main reason Merlin was sent to Camelot was Gaius. Hunith figured Gaius could help Merlin control his magic. And I don't think life was too easy for Merlin in Ealdor, either. He had to hide his gift there too (and I dunno, maybe there was some sort of stigma about being the illegitimate child of an unwed mother...). And I think his magic might've been more unpredictable back then, since he didn't know any spells (or the true strength of his own powers) and relied solely on instinct.

Okay, fine, I just really love Hunith. :D I loved the mother-son moments in S1. AND she's the biggest supporter of the A/M ship after the dragon! I really hope we'll get so see her again in S3. I want Merlin to go back to Ealdor and talk to her about Balinor. :)

I definitely prefer the half-undone shirt to the blatant fanservice. I imagine that Bradley preferred it too, but whatever. AS LONG AS THEY WORK BETTER ON THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT I'll be happier.

Hunith and Gaius both have very odd logic.

Snowed? Wow. I don't envy you the cold. XD

How many different wines do you have to taste? Is someone coming to pick you up afterward?

*cough*
Hunith is a very simple peasant woman. Come on, she came to ask -Uther- for help when she knew Realdor wasn't under his jurisdiction. (Why she thought that Uther is a just king, I'm not sure.)
Or maybe she is a mastermind that plots to conquer of Camelot trough her son. What better way than to have Merlin seduce the crown prince? ;)
