It feels very realistic.

I understand where both of them are coming from.

I like to live in a dreamworld where everybody is free to be who they want to be. Unfortunately this isn't really the case.

I hope they can hold the connection until Luke is ready.

(after winning the cup or just ready for retirement and start a career that he enjoys) ;-).

Thank you so much. I wanted it to be realistic. Because as much as we want the world and everybody in it, to be loving and accepting of one another, that's not how it is unfortunately.
When the story is finished, I'll say a little more about my inspiration for the story.

Well, I have actually no clue of soccer but I do know about the strange mechanisms of public pressure... so God have mercy with them, because I am sure Reid can't stay away. Something similar happened to him and me, he is totally hooked - and so am I!

I can only imagine what public pressure can do to you when you're world famous. There are plenty of examples of where it goes horribly wrong. I like to think Luke is smarter than to do something really stupid.

And very interesting development there with Reid having some doubts creeping up on him, too. Guess he's not Mr. Unfazeable after all. (Also, just the idea of Reid in the VIP section with the other WAGs makes me cackle.)

And can I just say, you're doing a really great job of showing where they're both coming from, so the problems they're facing seem natural and not forced for the sake of a storyline. :)

Wow, that make out session was HOT. But yeah, I can understand why Luke stopped it. He's just not sure and ready; it's all new to him. Glad Reid understands too.

Reid couldn’t believe how cute he looked. And Reid really didn’t do cute. But there he was. Luke, being cute.
