I don't care for the beginning of the trailer much, but I think it did look okaish towards the end. It's hard to tell from that, but it doesn't look like the CW have screwed it up as badly as I feared. But, at the same time, it does all feel slightly off when you're familiar with the characters before the recasting :/
So the premise is that she's not in section, but on the run from it? I'm not sure I'll like that as much as Nikia inside Section with all of the other characters...
Yeah I'll give it a try for a couple of episodes at least, but I will miss Petea Wilson so much :/ It just feels wrong for anyone else to be playing Nikita
I just can't imagine someone not Peta Wilson as Nikita. I mean, I've seen both the French film and the American remake, but they are very different animals. Watching a Nikita on TV who isn't my Nikita? I dunno.

The trailer looked okay in the middle and the end, but I hated the beginning. I think it would have been better had they delayed the voice over. It would have been a cool fake out- hot girl at the pool... what now, she broke the dude's neck?!- but the action stuff looked okay, and Maggie Q or whoever doesn't seem bad.
Shane West as Michael, though? NO. DO NOT WANT. I think I'll have less of a problem with a new Nikita than a new Michael.
That was exactly what I thought, it started getting better at around 0.13 time when it was a little darker and weapons were appearing. The beginning looked way too CWish, and besides I didn't care for Nikita in a bikini when I remember the Nikia wardrobe people talking about how they wanted to make Nikita stand out a bit, so they took care to never put her in miniskirts and stuff like that (after the original promo pics). So it looked too much like the typical CW posing pretty girls shot to me at first, rather than the raw edge of the original. The actress does look like she could be decent though
I think I'm definitely checking it out b/c it looks interesting. Hopefully it really does have a lot of action.
I love that the Nikita type character is Asian too!
But I'm afraid of what the CW will do to it. I loved the movie and the USA show so much. I'm sure that they will soap it up b/c the originals are kind of dark.
Oh I'll definitely check out the first few episodes, but yeah I'm not expecting it to have the same kind of raw edge :/ I'm thinking the original was way too morally ambiguous for the CW,and they're more in this for hot chicks with guns, but we'll see I guess. I wonder if they will just treat the Operations and Madeline equivalent as generic bad guys, or if they will be as developed as they were in LFN
