i'm so torn on this. i LOVED LFN and Peta and michael... and i just. this looks so different. however, i do have a soft spot for shane west and i like chicks being badassses...i will give it a shot.

IA! It looks like it could be an interesting show in its own right, but at the same time you're so stuck on thinking of the original Nikita and Michael that it's hard to make the adjustment. I wonder if they could have developed a similar concept, but not named their lead Nikia. Then maybe it wouldn't throw me so much...

I won't be able to watch this. Even if she's great and kicks ass and all...she just isn't Nikita. And I would be forever wishing that was Roy, speaking softly and wearing leather mission pants. It's just WRONG.

I do wish they could have come up with a show with a similar premise/still based on the original show, but not named their lead Nikita. There is only one Nikita

Being a fan of the original series makes me think that I'll give it a try. Still, I love Peta and Roy too much for them to be replaced. It was my second fandom after the X-Files and the first fandom I followed on internet back in 1997

I've always wished I was on-line back when the fandom was thriving :/ The LJ comm for it always seems so dead these days

I've never watched La Femme Nikita, so I don't have anything to base this on. From that perspective, it looks like it might be decent. Of course, the fact that it's on the CW should be some indication, but hey, other shows have done well in the past, right? :)

The original show is one of my favourites, so I'm hoping that more people will be inclined to check it out if this version proves a success
