"Come on - get off!" Nikola mutters, as the bird flaps around his head, pecking lightly at him. Nikola fishes the tin of bread out and breaks it up for the bird which at the very least earns him some peace as he heads back downstairs and saunters over to his desk. Cautiously, she used the dresser to pull herself up, jaw still smarting from his blow,
"I'm sorry", she said quietly, "I know that doesn't mean anything, but I am."

Nikola placed a small tray on the table that looked like it was full of rough sand. Rough metallic sand. Really it was a sea of tracking devices that could be injected under the skin, nearly impossible to find again.
Nikola sprinkled a few inside the back of the needle, tapped it, and then wandered over to her, brandishing it.
