Why isn't everyone in love with everyone else? Love is infinite, right? We're all overflowing with it, eager to spill it out on everyone. It's ridiculous to think that our own love is reserved for a small handful of people. I look around at all of the people I know and think about who they are and what they are and the way they laugh and move and ( Read more... )

i need to agree with gordon. love is infinite, but so is hate, depression, envy, pride, and everything.

some people might be truthfully love-filled, but when their acts are so despicable, how can anyone love them?

Man, you guys are pessimists. Okay, so I completely agree that some people suck. And are unlovable. And evil, hate, depression, jealousy, etc., run rampant in this world, and can definitely be just as prevalent as love. But my point is simply that so many people are lovable. Everyone is capable of love. Many people are truly amazing. And - okay, well, I lost my point. But I, personally, am in love, at least a little bit, with like a hundred people. And I don't see why everyone else isn't also.

haha, not only is the glass half empty, but it's got old diet pepsi in it, and its all stagnent and full of mosquito eggs, and it's a stupid star wars episode II burger king promotional cup with jar jar binks on it, and everyone hates jar jar binks because he's a thinly veiled racial stereotype.

i need a vacation.

I think that to be in love is a big commitment of energy, even if it is only a little bit. It is terrifying to put oneself out there like that and, moreover, it is draining. We are all human and we all need validation. Commitying to being in love with a person without some inkling of love in return is too hard for most, because of the fore-mentioned reasons. That is why i think most people aren't in love. Oh and keep in mind, i make a distinction between being in love with a person and loving a person.
