I hated being a judge. From my point, I had a scroll done in period materials that was somewhat complex but was a piece of crap. But it was a period, original, complex piece of crap vs. a beautiful copy of a scroll done with guache.

Who wins?

Well that's another issue of how heavily creativity, historical techniques and such are weighted. Which is why seeing the score breakdowns is nice because you can see how the judges ranked the various aspects. It says a whole lot more than the lump sum.

Oh - and your baby is of excellent craftsmanship and will get more complex by the year. The judge is clearly insane.

I think that Karl is adorable and complex!

Clearly, I need to kick that person's shins. XD
