News.com.au have a small video snippet of this morning's historic Welcome to Country ceremony by the Ngunnawal tribe at Australia's Parliament House. I cried. Listened to it on the radio, and it was quite powerful and well done. Our school is also allowing (although not mandating) classes to stop for the "Sorry" speech tomorrow, piping the live broadcast to every classroom that requests it.

I'm glad that your school's doing that. We're having the big screen in the Board room set up and the Secretary of the Department has directed that everyone watch it. If that hadn't been the case I would've streamed it from the Parliament House website.

We've got people at school taping it, editing out any boring bits (if there are any - it could be like the Melbourne cup; hours of rubbish for 5 minutes of fun), then we'll be showing it at special assemblies.
