My mom called me tonight, surprising me with a most gracious gift. She and my dad have apparently agreed to pay the difference so that I can rent out the huge master bedroom (which includes my own bathroom and a walk -closet, neither of which I have ever had before) in our house. OH WOW! That's awesome of you 'rents. I'm pretty sure I'd feel the same way if my family did that. if you're comfortable with your own room, and don't mind being there maybe you should just ask your parents to take the money they would use for the big room and put it into something more useful. A room is a room, it doesn't matter how big it is, all that matters is that you have your own little space and you're happy. you could ask them maybe to pay for your school books instead, or maybe something else? I don't know....that's what I would do...just trying to help.
