I just had to read all your baseball RPF in one go. Here's the thing, it amazes me what you can do with short stories. There's so much there.

Also, I had the same thought about women characters when I looked at my own writing this year. I wrote a bit of Mary Winchester in my SPN Big Bang, and I really enjoyed that. I should do more of it.

Donna! I am sorry that I have been so out of touch. again. It makes me very happy to hear from you despite that. In the new year, I resolve to do better.

So, thank you very much for your kind words on the baseball stories! I get sadly self-conscious about the shortness of a lot of my stuff sometimes, so that's a particularly gratifying compliment to get. Thank you. And I'm delighted you're willing to read that as a fandom, too.

I really liked your Mary. You should definitely write more women. I have a feeling it will be a good year if we can do that.

no matter what else, I love being able to look back at the year and think, I wrote something. no matter what else! Your encouragement means so much to me. ♥

those years i haven't written anything at all are particularly difficult to look back at. not having written in fandom is telling enough (about joy, mostly, and the value i place on my own goodtimes) but not having written at all? during those times i was so out of myself, or far too deep in myself, i'm not sure which! anyway, yes, write more. write better. write. and for myself: be more encouraging. ♥
