To Whom it May Concern:

As a student at Holyoke Community College, I had the pleasure of being in K B’s Nutrition class for the Fall, 2009 semester. As her student, I felt inspired to pursue my continuing interest in nutrition-related subjects.
Her class was run in such a way that it was obvious that she is organized and dedicated to her ( Read more... )

I think the letter is perfect and I wouldn't worry about a run-on sentence. You paint a thorough picture of an excellent teacher and you are helping her, not applying for grammar school. :)

Packing is a huge pain. I usually drag a series of labeled boxes and trash to each room and empty the rooms contents into the appropriate containers. Even so, I always end up with at least a box or two of miscellaneous crap towards the end as I lose patience. 3+ years in my current location and the 'crap' boxes are still unpacked. I really should just toss them in the trash.

I think as you get rooms emptied you'll start disconnecting from the house, visualizing moving forward and everything will fall into place. I wish I was there to help you.

You are welcome to quit your job and come out!! Ha ha just kidding...

thanks- i think i really just need to MAKE myself start on one corner... the rooms are mostly cleaned out of extraneous stuff, so if i do hire packers, it won't be so bad. The basement is really what is making me shy away. one big, cold, dark pile of dusty spidery stuff to go through. Half of it Marks.

Yuck. Is he going to be back at all before you move? One of the cats that came w/ Tinker eats spiders. It's a horrifying thought but it does keep the population down. I think she eats crickets too which is key in Colorado. They are LOUD and look like creepy beetles. I miss the cute brown ones in WA. But, I digress ( ... )

Yes- i already have a POD coming on March 1st, but we need to make use of the space, so I am planning on scheduling a couple of good mover guys to come over and put furniture in there interspersed with boxes. The vacuum idea is a good one, too- I think this afternoon I will venture down there...

I don't think that's so much of a run-on sentence, either. But, you could break it up (assuming this is the sentence that concerns you):

When answering questions in class, she was knowledgeable and authoritative. If she didn’t know the answer, she had no problem admitting it and then encouraging pursuit of the information.
