May I learn to be more conscientious of and grateful for how much I share in the world's resources.

Two friends have written to me off-list, expressing their confusion/discomfort about what and how much to say on a blog. This started as a direct reply, but turned into something else; I hope it is still relevant.

My parents are coming into town Sunday, so it might not work this weekend. I'm in New York for a week and a half- so maybe we'll give it another try then.

the 'it' in 'it might not work' antecedes to the Psychiatry: An Industry of Death Museum, or rather, our tenuous plans to go this weekend. Now we're on the same page. Got a call from Larry, by the way.

Good to be on same page. Otherwise books get torn, which is all messy and un-Confucian and stuff. Have fun with parents and New York!

You know, you've just managed to express why I love LJ so much, something I've been unable to do for myself, or certainly haven't been able to do as eloquently.

I love the interaction process here, getting to know people and getting to vent. As you pointed out, a poster can vent knowing that if people have time, they will read, and probably comment because they care. In RL, it's much more difficult to find people willing to stop and listen.

I'm very thankful to the Blog for I'm able to know how you're doing closely. It has become a habit for me to read your blog before bed time (except for the days when I'm really exhausted), so that I can give my thanks to the Lord when you're doing well, and to ask for His mercy when you're in distress. I am so glad you enjoy the blog! And I am thankful for your prayers.

Did I say that? Where did I think rain came from? I have no idea what I could have been thinking...

The house sounds better and better -- please go ahead with the tickets so I can see it soon ;) .

Good luck with the workshop -- I know they'll hang on your every word. I wish I could shop with you tomorrow; I think we'd have a wonderful time :) .

learned more about my cousin's reading habits than I have known in my previous 20+ years of knowing her

*cackles* In lieu of Coming Out Day being yesterday, I will now out myself as your cousin on your LJ. Hi, folks, I read a lot.

LJ is the coolest blogging network in the blogosphere. For serious. User-friendly, easy customization, awesome people. I was on xanga for a bit back in high school, but the options they had were far too limited for me. I had major issues with the page formatting, friends-lock limits, and overall stalkability of the service.
