bsg_aussiegirl wanted as a challenge entry "something imaginative I haven't thought of." So I wrote her this little NC drabble based on the song "Reject your shame" by the UK band SkinjoB.

Oh, you know me. The first thing I say to myself when a challenge is posted is "how can I twist this into something Aussie never meant?"

It's a gloomy day out, so Speedy's feeling all rainbows and glitter.

Hee. I love Bill getting to come to her rescue and stick it in Baltar's face all at the same time. And I like the idea of them planning an uprising against Baltar -- it's something I'd have loved to see come to fruition if the cylons hadn't invaded. I wonder how it would've gone. This drabble shows such a sweet moment, but so serious, too.

It's time to choose a side, Laura -- the people or humanity.

I love that, too. That's a decision Laura's constantly making in a way I've noticed people around lj don't always like, but I've never seen it put so succinctly. ;)

I really like the idea of him coming to visit her when she is sick, but even more I think I like the idea that it is Saul who informs him of her being ill. BFF knows better than to omit that kind of information from the Old Man about his woman.
