Christmas Bells are Ringing...

I have one complaint about Tori Amos. That is, that she's releasing a boxed set of live recordings and a DVD collection of her videos (1991-2005) NOW! WTF! I've already given my Dad and Brett my Christmas list, and I'm pretty sure they're finished shopping for me. How upsetting. I know I sound like one of "those" people, but I've been waiting for ( Read more... )

Bryan darling, I was thinking about you the other night.
I went to the Lenape choir show (due to death threats from former students if I didn't attend), and among the abundance of recycled-from-my-days songs on the program was "Behold the Star." I really never cared for that song all that much when I was singing it, and hearing it from the audience didn't change it... but I remembered its one redeeming quality, half of the time, being the tenor solo. I say only half of the time, because, well, we know who sucked at it and who didn't. Anyway, they had a soprano do it this time around. It was one of my former students, and as mean as it might be, I was thinking, "Oh honey, it sounds lovely, but you're just not Bryan."

I also saw Mena, and the last time I saw Mena, he and my brother were the little freshmen tenors who were probably only tenors because guys aren't supposed to be sopranos anymore by that age. It was weird to see him all grown up and taller than me for a change... but it was cool. I'm rambling... I'll stop now.

I'm so pissed I couldn't go! Mena called me (he goes to school with me now, how weird is that?) to ask if I wanted to go with him, but I had a choir rehearsal that night. It's so sweet of you to think of me. Do you remember how ALL we used to do was trash talk that certain other someone who was "double-cast" for the solo with me? Mwahahahaha.... ah memories... memories of my high school divaness and cruelty. Hahaha. I miss you, Leslie. Hope you have a happy holiday

Well come on - like there was anything that deserved to be done other than trash talk there! He sounded like a goat!!
I miss you too -- when are we going to hang out? We suck at planning stuff like that.
