Farewell To the Old Me...

Intense dreams this morning. I thought I'd relay it here on my livejournal, before I go to bed to dream again. The nice thing about blogs is that I don't have to bore anybody who isn't really interested in my bizarre and swooping subconscious. So hey, if you are, read on.

That is a really intense dream. Sounds to me (in my own humble and uninformed opinion) like maybe you are feeling out of control about something. Maybe feeling like you are responsible for things that are out of your control. Or that you're a grasping for an answer, and you can feel it so close to the surface, but somehow the message still gets confused in the telling. There is also this element of thinking something (maybe a situation or a perspective or reality itself) is one way, and coming to a realization the there is more to it than what you had originally thought. This is fascinating. And I could be way off base. But really fascinating.

Well, as my life is insane and out of control right now, and will be for the forseeable future, I guess that makes sense. Personally, I think my unconscious brain was getting bored with the normal stress dreams, and decided to entertain itself. I like those dreams far better than the run-of-the-mill stress dreams where I'm late for things, and can't get there, and then I wake up more tired than ever. This is way more interesting. :)

I call these types of dreams "superhero dreams". I usually get them when I'm feeling stressed. And they ARE a lot more fun and entertaining than dreaming that you're giving an acceptance speech for the Nobel Peace Prize and realizing you forgot to put on your clothes! :) Thanks for sharing, BTW.
