I found this video on Youtube (whatever did we do before the internet?) and I had to laugh and laugh. The one line from the lower case n  song (The lower case eehhhnnnnn) has been in my head since I was a kid, slightly morphed, and all I could remember was that I loved it. Love, love, loved it. I think part of the genius is that we feel so very, very empathetic for the poor letter. For a letter. I mean, come on, we anthropomorphize everything else, why not letters? I think this is partly why I used to feel sorry for my toast when I was a child. I would reassure each piece (in my head, I'm not totally crazy) that it was special in its own way as I ate it, so that no piece would feel left out or like they weren't the favorite. Yes. To toast. Feeling sorry for an N is really not as crazy as it could be...

I watched Sesame Street with my son *everyday* and I sure do remember lower case n. I love the comments after that video - they're hilarious.

This is one of the things that makes me love human beings. We're so frakkin weird, we get emotional about a cartoon lower case n. Go figure.

Good lord, the dance (*not* recital) is coming up faster than I thought. I'll have to wait until it's on NetFlix (or I have some other supplier, hint, hint).
