Going absolutely bonkers trying to get things done before my company gets here. My best friend from when I was a little girl is coming out to visit me, and we're going to have a blast. But I've been desperately trying to get the house in order before she gets here. And I've, um, spent a lot of money in the last few days/weeks on projects and things

Sometimes I do the same thing--"we have company coming, let's get the molding done! Let's finish the bathroom!" And sometimes it just works better to have a deadline, which is why the writer's group is such a good idea. Give ourselves a deadline to write something, I can do that. Write something without having someone to read it--ummm, yeah, sure, I'll get around to that, whenever. kcn
